Summer Institute & The Seizing an Alternative: Toward and Ecological Civilization Conferance

In lieu of the Process and Faith Summer Institute, we are offering courses in conjunction with the Seizing an Alternative: Toward an Ecological Civilization conference, June 4-7, 2015. The Seizing an Alternative conference is the result of several events held in conjunction: 10th International Whitehead Conference, 9th International Forum on Ecological Civilization, Inaugural Pando Populus Conference, Pilgrim Place Centennial Celebration, and Process & Faith Summer Institute.

For those interested in introductory process courses, we will be offering two:

  • Introduction to Whitehead’s Thought,” taught by Arran Gare and Robert Mesle

  • Introduction to Christian Process Theology,” taught by Gary Dorrien

Courses may be taken for seminary credit. If interested, please contact the Claremont School of Theology registrar by emailing (cstregistrar@cst.edu) or calling 909-447-2502.

Alternatives to the courses are conference working groups (“Tracks”). There are 82 Tracks which meet concurrently throughout the conference. Here are a few that may be of interest to Summer Institute attendees:
